So I am new to this whole experience of blogging as well as the whole experience of University and moving away from home; which is why I started this blog, I am currently studying Interior and Spatial Design in Edinburgh and writing blog posts is a requirement for my course.

I’ll be honest…at the beginning of my course when we were told to start setting up new social media’s for design related stuff along with keeping a blog relating to our Monday lectures, I did think it was a bit odd and would just be extra work on top of work but I tend to think negatively before finding the positive side of things which is what happened in this situation.

I’ll get to the point of the post now, an introduction to my blog page…this is not going to be the typical design blog page which is full of quickly written blog post without much thought going into them because they don’t feel passionate about what they are doing and don’t want non-design people to relate to it or find it interesting because there’s to many design references to make sense of them. Not only do I want my lectures to read this (requirement) but I also want people outside my course to read this and to be able to understand and enjoy this blog. To see and hear what my Monday afternoon lectures are like, to see the photographs I take when we go on field trips. I want to be able to look back at this when I am a successful Interior Designer (dream big, right?) and relive what it was like to be a 1st year design student being away from home for the first time and having no clue what she’s doing (well maybe a little).

Well, I guess thats the introduction part of my blog over? Maybe it wasn’t needed but it did help me to understand what in the world I am going to write about! It will start to be more design related (I promise)
